An Integrated Vision

We believe that social and environmental responsibility are intrinsically connected, and we approach our business operations with a commitment to these ends.

By employing a paperless office model and avoiding the use of plastics (wherever possible) we strive to demonstrate our commitment to minimizing our ecological footprint. Web Accessibility

Prioritizing the Culture of Disability

Despite being a small, barebones nonprofit organization, we are committed to making sure that our website is 100% screen reader accessible. Additionally, we are committed to making sure that our website is accessible to all disability groups. While we put a lot of thought and planning into these goals, we are eager to know if the user experience for your disability group was not satisfactory. If you experience any obstacles navigating the site, we would greatly appreciate your feedback on the challenge, so that we can work on correcting it. You can reach us at contact@cubablindrelief.org or +1 (217) 318-7138.

Fiscal Responsibility

The in-kind business model and fundraising practices employed at CBR are supported by two pillars of fiscal responsibility. First, we seek to minimize all programmatic and operations expenses by soliciting donations for as many of these as possible. Second, we strive to keep overhead costs as low as possible by soliciting donations of equipment and/or services that we need to operate. By maintaining a shoestring operating budget, we can ensure that the beneficiaries of our program receive the maximum support that we can provide.

Environmental Impact

Our Commitment to the Environment

At Cuba Blind Relief, we believe that our mission to improve the lives of blind and low-vision individuals in Cuba should and can be conducted in conjunction with respect for the natural environment. By employing a paperless office model and avoiding the use of plastics (wherever possible) we strive to demonstrate our commitment to minimizing our ecological footprint while effectively fulfilling our mission.
